What is a gas safety certificate?
A Gas Safety certificate is a mandatory document if you are a Landlord renting out a property with a gas supply and appliances. you will also need one if you have a Commercial catering or mobile catering business using Gas or LPG.
Your Local authority or your insurance company will require you to prove your Gas installation, Flues, Ventilation, and appliances are safe and comply with current legislation.
A gas safety inspection must be undertaken at least every 12 months and in the case of Landlords copies must be provided to the tenant within 28 days of inspection, or in the case of a new tenant when they move in.

Mobile Catering Gas (LPG) Safety inspection / Record.
This certificate is specifically for Commercial Mobile catering operators and includes Mobile Trailers, Vans, Gazebo's, Tents, Temporary structures, and outdoor cooking.
The inspection is quite comprehensive as a wide range of factors are involved due to the differing types of operation. As with other certification it involves checking ventilation, pipework, Flues, Regulators and appliances.

CP12
Landlord / Homeowner gas safety certificate a mandatory document which must be provided to tenants when they move in, then annually thereafter. It will include an inspection of the Gas meter, Gas pressures, gas rates,and if there are any leaks. in addition all gas appliances, Flues, Chimneys, and Ventilation, and also carbon monoxide detectors. This work can only be undertaken by qualifed GasSafe registered engineers.

Commercial catering gas safety record / inspection. This is also a Mandatory document required if you use Natural Gas or LPG in the course of your business. The inspection includes checking your installation pipework is gas tight, of the correct size, material ,and is correctly installed and supported. All control valves and interlocking systems are functioning correctly. You have adequate ventilation. Check your appliances are working safety and i accordance with manufacturers specifications. And finally the air quality in your kitchen.
These checks must be undertaken at least every 12 months by a GasSafe registered Catering engineer
